about

Songs From the Basewood is a rock opera reinterpretation of Alec Longstreth's first graphic novel, Basewood. It was inspired by Weezer's lost album, Songs From the Black Hole, and the band Harry and the Potters.

On this album each of the five characters of Basewood sings their way through the plot of the graphic novel. With this project, drawn comics have been adapted into rock music for a unique experience! SFTBW can be enjoyed on its own, or you can follow along with the lyric booklet (Phase 7 #020) or with the original graphic novel, both of which you can order by clicking on the "merch" tab at the top of this page!

PLEASE NOTE: When the album streams online there are slight gaps between the songs. When you download the album, each song seamlessly flows into the next one.
